Costume fees will be sent home with dancers this week! Please make sure you check their bags so you won't miss it. Costume fees are due by Thursday, November 2nd, and are to be paid in cash or money order only.
As a reminder, the studio will be closed for classes on Halloween (Tuesday October 31st). Have a great week! Mrs. Jennifer The 2023 dance schedule is complete! You will be receiving your dancer's individual schedule via email. Please be patient as it takes a good amount of time to send each schedule individually.
Along with your dancer's schedule, you will receive your total monthly tuition. Please let us know if your dancer will not be participating in all classes listed so that we can make any final adjustments to rosters. If you missed Registration, we have limited spaces left! Send us an email and we will see what we can do to get your dancer registered. As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Mrs. Jennifer Join us at the Studio on Tuesday, August 1st from 4-8pm and get registered for the new Season! If you are unable to attend that day, that's ok! Simply email us at [email protected] and we will get you all of the info you need to register via mail.
As always, we will be able to fit for shoes that day as well. All shoes ordered on Registration Day will be ordered and waiting for you the first week of class! We will have a special treat this year... Sunset Slush will be set up in the parking lot! Get yourself a cool treat after you register. It is hard to believe that summer is going by so quickly, but we are super excited to see everyone again next week and are ready for another wonderful season! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Mrs. Jennifer Next week (12/12-12/15) is the last week of classes before Christmas Break. The Studio is closed 12/19-12/29.As a reminder, tuition is due by the 15th of each month. December tuition should be paid in full when you come for your classes next week.
Don't forget to put your dancer's name inside their shoes. It is very hard to get shoes back to dancers without a name in them. Costumes: We have received several costumes already are sending them home as soon as we can. Go ahead and hang up the costumes so wrinkles can be falling out in a place that you will remember where they are for Picture Day and Recital. If you haven't received any costumes yet, that is because they haven't come in. As soon as they come in, we will send them home. Tights: *The free pair of tights will be sent home next week for dancers that are in classes that need tights. Save these for Picture Day and Recital. Additional tights can be purchased at the Studio for $15. *The following classes will need to purchase fishnets from the Studio: -Monday 6:30-7:15 Jazz w/ Mrs. Jennifer -Tuesday 6:30-7:15 Jazz w/ Mrs. Jenna -Thursday 7:30-8:15 Adult Clogging *The following classes will need black socks to cover ankles and will not receive tights: -Wednesday 6:15-7:00 Hip Hop w/ Miss Zianne -Wednesday 7:00-7:45 Clogging w/ Mrs. Amy -Wednesday 7:00-7:45 Hip Hop w/ Miss Zianne -Wednesday 7:45-8:30 Hip Hop w/ Miss Zianne -Thursday 8:15 Adult Hip Hop Recital Fee: As a reminder, the $85 Recital Fee is due by January 19. This fee includes the video for both shows. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Mrs. Jennifer We are off to such a GREAT start this Season!
We are looking forward to the Monday Classes' First Night of Dance tonight! A few reminders: Tuition: Tuition is due by the 15th of each month. Any accounts not kept current will incur a $10 per month Late Fee. As a reminder, tuition payments are to be made using cash, check or money order. If you are paying in cash, please place the cash in a sealed envelope with your dancer's name on the outside. Cash payments not in an envelope will not be accepted. This will help us keep everything straight with so many turning in payments at one time. It will also help us get receipts back to you. Please put your dancer's name in the memo line of checks as well. All returned checks are subject to a $25 returned check fee. Dress Code: Why is there a dress code? It is important to dress appropriately for dance for many reasons. Most important is so the teachers can see the dancers' bodies and can properly correct them. Proper body placement helps prevent injuries and helps promote good posture. Aside from the teachers needing to be able to see the dancers, if the dancers aren't able to fully move they won't get as much out of dance. Please send your dancer in the appropriate attire for their classes. As a reminder, dance shoes are not to be worn outside. The oil and grit from the pavement will get tracked into the Studio and ruin the dance floors. All hair needs to be securely up and out of their face as well. In case you have thrown away the information you received at registration, the dress code can be found here: https://louisburgdance.weebly.com/studio-policies.html The shoes ordered at Registration will be distributed to the dancers the first week of class. Please put your dancer's name inside all dance shoes. Sometimes dance shoes get left behind and they are hard to get back to their owner without a name in them. Please also label dance bags with dancer's name. Arriving for Class: We will be following our protocols from previous years. Please wait in your cars in the parking lot until the outside lights have been turned on. We will continue taking temperatures upon arrival. We did this last year and I feel like it helped keep a lot of germs out of the Studio. Parents may walk dancers to the door, but will not be permitted inside the Studio. This helps keep the number of people in the building at one time to a minimum. When you arrive for class, please don't crowd the door so that we can get the previous classes out prior to your entry. When arriving, please form a line in to the right of the front door (when looking at it). Please remain outside. We will dismiss dancers when classes are finished. Parents of littles (5 & under): please take your little one to the restroom prior to arriving at dance. Once the potty train leaves the station during dance class, every dancer "needs" to go. If they all use the restroom prior to arriving, they should be able to make it through a 45 minute class. Departing from Class: Please be prompt when picking up your dancer. We will be dismissing classes a couple minutes before end time so that we can get the next group in for class. Example: if your class ends at 5:00, we will dismiss around 4:57. Please remain outside. We will dismiss dancers when classes are finished. For any questions not answered here, please refer to the pages on our website (https://louisburgdance.weebly.com). I have worked diligently to get all of the information you will need on the website including the Calendar, Studio Policies, Dress Code, etc. If you are not already following us on Social Media, please do so. We post updates and notifications when emails go out, etc. Here's to another wonderful week! Mrs. Jennifer December will be here before we know it!

This year's Recital Videos were sent out via email yesterday, Sunday, June 12 to the email addresses provided at Registration. If you have not seen the email via MediaZilla, check your spam/promotions folders as well. Let me know if I need to send it to you again. We are all looking forward to a new dance season! Happy Monday! Costume Fee sheets will be distributed this week!! Costume Fees are due no later than Thursday, December 2 and are to be paid in cash, money order or certified check only. Each dancer will receive one complementary pair of tights in the color(s) required. Additional pairs of tights will be available for purchase at the Studio in case of runs, holes, or misplaced tights. Some dancers will need to purchase fishnets to go with their costumes, too. Those will be available at the Studio for purchase. I will be working this week on getting pictures of costumes posted to Social Media so that you all can get a sneak peek!
Next week, October 25-28 is Halloween Dress Up week!!! This is always such a fun week and we can't wait to see everyone in their Halloween Costumes! Join us in the parking lot at the Studio on Friday, October 29 from 6-9pm for the LSOD Elite Trick or Treat Event. We had a great turnout last year and are looking forward to providing the community with another opportunity for fun and safe Trick or Treating!! This event is open to the public, so please tell your friends and family they are more than welcome to stop by as well!! Don't forget that Recital Fees are due by Thursday, November 4. Recital fees are $85 per dancer and includes Recital Video and entry to Recital. I do not know how many guests will be allowed per dancer, yet, as Recital is still several months away. As we get closer to the date, I will have all of the information needed as far as protocols, number of guests, etc. As a reminder, answers to most questions regarding dates, policies, etc can be found on the website: https://louisburgdance.weebly.com/ Have a great rest of your day! Mrs. Jennifer We had a GREAT first week of Dance Classes! Everyone did such a great job in their classes and all of the teachers have been filling me in on how excited they are for this Season.
I just wanted to take a few minutes to reiterate some of the policies and procedures so that drop off/pickup can go as smooth as possible. When paying with cash, please put the cash in an envelope with the dancer's name or paper clip it together with a sticky note with their name. This will help us keep everything straight when so many are handing in payments at one time. Please do not crowd the front door. If you are arriving for class, please remain in your car until the outside lights are on indicating it is time to come in for class. With so many standing right in front of the door, it is hard to get the previous classes to their parents, therefore taking longer for your dancer to get to class. If you show up early for class, remain in your car until it is time for your class. Parents are to remain outside at all times during class. Please arrive promptly for class and pickup to help things run smoothly. Don't forget to send a water bottle! If you still need shoes or attire for class, please order these items by tomorrow evening. I will be placing the order after the Studio Store closes for the evening so that everyone can get their items for class. The Studio Store will be open tonight (9/14) and tomorrow (9/15) from 5:15-7:00. If you have any questions not answered here or on the website, don't hesitate to reach out! Mrs. Jennifer I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer so far and the kids are adjusting to being back in school. We had a Teacher meeting last night and we can't wait to be back in the Studio with the dancers!
Classes begin Tuesday, September 7. If your child has class on Wednesday, their first day is 9/8; Thursday: 9/9; Monday: 9/13. Dress Code: Why is there a dress code? It is important to dress appropriately for dance for many reasons. Most important is so the teachers can see the dancers' bodies and can properly correct them. Masks: Masks will not be required, but are highly encouraged to help keep other dancers and Staff well. The mask policy is subject to change at any time based on the progression of the Pandemic. COVID-19: If anyone in your household is exposed to COVID-19, please either keep your dancer out of dance for 2 weeks or get them tested before returning. If your child's school grade ends up quarantined due to COVID-19, keep them home or get them tested. If anyone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, please keep your dancer home for 2 weeks and have them tested prior to returning to dance. If your child is exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please keep them home: cough, runny nose, stuffy nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever. I understand that normal cold and allergies happen, but we cannot take any chances. We reserve the right to send any dancer home that exhibits any of these symptoms while at dance, too. This is an ever-changing pandemic and we all need to work together to keep our Dance Family safe and well. For any questions not answered here, please refer to the website (https://louisburgdance.weebly.com). I have worked diligently to get all of the information you will need on the website including the Calendar, Studio Policies, Dress Code, etc. We can't wait to get back dancing with our Dance Family in a couple of weeks!
